According to the American Farm Bureau, the Peru and Colombia Trade Promotion Agreements will increase U.S. farm exports by $1.39 billion. USDA estimates for every million dollars of agricultural exports 13.4 jobs are created. Therefore, once fully implemented the Peru and Colombia agreements will provide over 18,000 new jobs due to increased agricultural exports.
