In 2006, the United States exported $2.7 billion in goods to Panama, an increase of25 percent from 2005. Export shipments of merchandise from New Jersey to Panama totaled $89 million in 2006. Overall export shipments of merchandise from New Jersey in 2006 totaled $27 billion. This is a $10.0 billion increase since 2002, the tenth largest dollar increase among the 50 states.

In 2006, the United States exported $6.7 billion in goods to Colombia, an increase of 24 percent from 2005. A quarter of those exports came from Texas ($1.7 billion), which increased 22 percent from 2005. One-fifth of all manufacturing workers in Texas depend on exports for their jobs.

The U.S.-Peru Trade Promotion Agreement establishes a secure, predictable legal framework for U.S. investors operating in Peru. All forms of investment are protected under the Agreement. U.S. investors will enjoy in almost all circumstances the right to establish, acquire and operate investments in Peru on an equal footing with local investors.
